August 28, 2025 God has a way of cajoling me out of potential funks. While I am preparing for my rotator cuff surgery and subsequent lengthy rehab (and thus no golf), I have the opportunity to work on the video for the End of Year Party for our senior men’s group. My students and I used to make short movies in my creative writing classes, and that was one of my favorite creative outlets. However, I haven’t done that in 14 years. A challenge and an inspiration. Thanks, Lord

September 3. 2025 I have been overwhelmed by the tons of support, well-wishes, and prayers that have been directed toward me on the eve of my rotator cuff surgery. I can’t express how much confidence, hope and courage it gives me. Thank You, dear Lord Jesus, for those two indescribable blessings–love and friendship.
Btw, except for minor afib incident, surgery went wonderfully!
