Novem­ber 4, 2025 I just count­ed them up–I take 8 dif­fer­ent med­ica­tions a day (includ­ing vit­a­mins). Sheesh. That leads me to two obser­va­tions: A)I have a long way to go in clean­ing up my tem­ple of the Holy Spir­it; and B) I am rely­ing heav­i­ly on God’s promise of a glo­ri­fied res­ur­rect­ed body.

Octo­ber 8, 2025 One area in which I have to do fre­quent spir­i­tu­al check-ups is my atti­tude about wealth, or more specif­i­cal­ly, about our finan­cial stand­ing. I believe being pru­dent about mon­ey, acquir­ing and spend­ing, is one of the by-prod­ucts of wis­dom. How­ev­er, par­si­mo­ny is as much the work of the dark forces as is greed. After all, God loves a cheer­ful giv­er (2 Corinthi­ans 9:7). This is my two-part res­o­lu­tion to the dilem­ma: 1) Real­ize that all that I have belongs to God–I am a stew­ard. 2) Seek oppor­tu­ni­ties to give where there is need.

Me and my broth­er and two of my sis­ters (and spous­es ) are cruis­ing the Less­er Antilles for Thanks­giv­ing­week. Karen and I love see­ing beau­ti­ful places we’ve nev­er been and I’d go just about any­where to hang out with my fam­i­ly. We don’t live that close to one anoth­er so we can’t get togeth­er very often. It’s just our first day on board and the lifestyle is so lux­u­ri­ous it’s a lit­tle fright­en­ing. God is so generous

Novem­ber 23, 2025 Some­thing I nev­er tried before…It’s like I’m shop­ping in God’s Depart­ment Store and He has opened up a whole new wing, First, I’m start­ing out in paradise—a trop­i­cal set­ting that sur­pass­es my descrip­tive pow­ers. And then I stick my head under water and a whole new uni­verse appears. Thus sings my soul…how great Thou art.
