Day 6 — Overkill…
#1622 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
November 27, 2025 I have hit my limit on the gourmet meals…the exotic tropical locales…the long excursion rides…the constant availability of food…the sales pitches masquerading as events. These cruises are masters of pleasurable consumption. I am a simple man and prefer simpler things. Ah, but I’d still do anything to be with my family.

Day 7 — Raising a glass…on Family Friday
#1623 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
November 28, 2025 The cruise was wonderful and all 8 of us committed to trying to do another one next year. I don’t really care where we go or what cruise line we use–I’ll let my vagabond sisters figure that out. The pleasures of eat, drink, and be merry cannot be underestimated–but they pale in comparison to the joys of remembering, strengthening, and expanding the bonds of family. Thanks for the love, Lord Jesus

Day 8 — Travel Day…
#1625 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
November 29, 2025 I am not the best traveler. I dislike the hustle and bustle of airports and I cannot get comfortable on an airplane. I am hounded by the inner child’s plaintiff cry “Are we there yet?” However, I know that Travel is an upper level course at the University of God. It expands my horizons, increases my awareness of humanity’s diversity, raises my appreciation for God’s creation, educates me regarding our shared history on this planet, and affords me the best opportunity to see distant family members. Also, my wife loves to travel. Mark Twain said “Travel is fatal to prejudice.” I say “Where are we going next, Lord?”
