#1506 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
July 29, 2025 I tend to think of God’s blessing as everything good that happens to me. That makes it easier for me to love God because many good things do happen. However, it makes God one-dimensional, which He definitely is not. Early this morning as I was setting up a game to play with my granddaughters, I fell down porch steps and wracked up my shoulder/elbow badly. I accept in faith that God will use this unfortunate development for my well-being and the betterment of my character. And the game turned out to be lots of fun.

July 30, 2025 A new family reunion tradition is born–dining out on the last night for adults only. Thank You, Lord, for making Harlie old enough and responsible enough to shepherd the five little lambs for several hours. Thank you, Harlie, for being willing to do it. Thank you, sons and daughters and wife, of course, for a most excellent evening out. And thank You, Father, for making all this possible.

#1508 HOW I SPOKE TO GOD TODAY
July 11, 2025 My Big Picture prayer: Guide me home, Lord. I am not aiming for accomplishments, I am aiming for safe harbor. I know that Your will, beyond doubt, is always for my benefit. Alas, mine is not. But by Your grace and mercy I am drawing nearer. Now I see dimly, but then face to face. Onward

#1509 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
August 2, 2025 I cannot explain why one of the happiest moments of every vacation or trip or reunion–no matter how perfect the scenery and company and adventures–is when I walk back into my own house. It’s certainly not hodophobia–I’m not afraid of traveling. I prefer to think of it as the Dorothy-in-Oz syndrome; there’s no place like home. Thanks for a wonderful trip and a great homecoming, Lord Jesus
