This is an insidious one because most of the time I’m being double-minded I don’t know it. The opposite of double-minded is single-minded devotion. That’s what I’m aiming for.

August 13, 2026 This I believe: There is a great movement of the Holy Spirit spreading across our land and the entire world. This movement has nothing to do with Christian nationalism — the Holy Spirit is not attempting to “get back to” anything. She is not looking for people to mouth the words, but rather those who will act like Jesus. And those people are rising up. Here are some Jesus concerns: the poor (income inequality); the dispossessed (homelessness); the persecuted (LGBTQ); the suffering (Gaza, Ukraine, Iran); the prisoners (immigrant concentration camps); the earth (climate change, environmental destruction); the sick (universal health care, physical and mental). The Holy Spirit is moving forward — no “oldtime” religion here — please join.

August 12, 2026 It’s as simple as pitting the Old Testament against the New Testament. The law leads to paralysis; grace leads to action. It’s more important to figure out what God wants me to do than to worry about what God doesn’t want me to do. Love makes any situation better.

August 27, 2026 I wasn’t sure anyone could put up with me for that long (except the Lord). How could I get so old and she stay so beautiful? But apart from appearances, we are growing old together. He says that the two shall become one — we are not there yet, but it is happening. Thank You Lord. (And we’re going to Ireland with the fam for the 50th!)
