#1607 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
May 13, 2026 According to ChatGPT, the formalized doctrine of hell — especially as a place of punishment for unbelievers and sinners — really took place between the 3rd and 5th centuries. Figures like Augustine and later Church councils solidified it.
So all those early converts — the disciples and the followers, and all who heard and believed — cared nothing about hell. They cared about the God who became man, showed them how to live, died for them and rose again, and now lives to guide us into eternity. The big prize was not some future reward — it was walking with Jesus

Golf Tuesday, an extraordinary sight…#1608 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
May 29, 2026 Two persons of short stature playing golf! I have never seen that before. It’s like spotting a scarlet tanager. Thank You, Lord, for Your diversity and artistry

What is that in the sky?#1609 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
May 14, 2026 I believe in omens, but only good omens. If I do get bad omens, I don’t notice them. I have two Mississippi kites flying around in my backyard (I’m pretty sure they are mating), and they are definitely good omens. The kites arrive on the golf course every May. I don’t know if there’s another bird that enjoys flying as much as a kite. Following them gives me a lift. Thanks for the airshow, Lord Jesus

It’s all in the point of view…
#1610 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
May 6, 2026 “For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:3)
That is how God sees it. I am supposed to see it that way too.

May 23, 2026 “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye.” (Matthew 7:5)

“A religion without mystics is a philosophy.” –Pope Francis#1612 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
May 8, 2026 Somehow mysticism got a bad name in American Christian culture. If I tell someone I’m a Christian, the first question I usually get is “What church do you go to?” How absurd! A more appropriate question: “How has the Lord been interacting with you?” But I can’t see Him or touch Him or corral Him or direct Him or manipulate Him — I can only believe Him… and that is mystical. Communing with Jesus only in your church is like eating only the crust of the bread.

There’s my writing partner. I get to sit outside and work on my blog while she makes sure no rabbits or squirrels (or rats!) bother me. Thank You for Spice, Lord Jesus
