Beauty-struck, that’s what I call it…
HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
July 5, 2026 There are moments, if I am still and calm and completely present, when the glory of His creation, the purity of the air, and the perfection of the earth and wind and water, and the brilliance of His goodnight kiss, come together to declare His presence. Golf Tuesday from the pits…
HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
June 25, 2026 Going through a golf slump… It makes me feel like a hypocrite — not because golf isn’t a spiritual exercise (it totally is), but because all my talk about being content, enjoying the camaraderie, not caring about results — kind of goes out the window when I’m butchering a round. Not that I behave badly — no cussing or tossed clubs or self-pity or excuses. I just feel this deep sense of frustration in my gut that I cannot will away. Better than I used to be but a long way to go. Have pity on me, Lord Jesus

HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
June 6, 2026 Anne Lamott on holiness: “The holy is not a spectacle, the Rockettes on stage at the Taj Mahal backed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It is around us, above us, below us, and inside of us all the time. It’s here, but often I am not.”

No writer’s block here…HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
July 10, 2026 I would definitely say that I had a happy childhood — of course, being the “black sheep” of the family might have enhanced that. What I would say in retrospect is that, although it was not always with an apparent Christian influence, God has consistently had His hand on my life. And it has mostly been easy to find something to write about.
