#971 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
May 11, 2024 This is my first spiritual mentor. He introduced me to Christ. He is also the most joyful Christian I have ever been around. He is a wonderful encourager of my faith. Thank You for Ross, Lord Jesus.

Golf Tuesday, looking for my swing…
#972 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
May, 2024 I have been on a nice run in golf, about 12 rounds in a row around 80, some lower–good for me. Poof! Yesterday I shot 88 and today 91. Standing over the ball with zero confidence where it is going to go. This is another reason why golf is a spiritual exercise. (Thanks for the illustration, Paul)

#973 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
March, 2024 My pastor pointed out that many unbelievers say they wouldn’t believe in a god who would kill his own son. (I have had two relatives tell me the same thing.) That is myopic because they don’t perceive the love in the Father to allow this to happen and the love in the Son to willingly undergo it, and they don’t understand all that love is directed toward us.

#974 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
February, 2024 “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25). Wonderful verse! An exhorter would say: Put life into your Christian walk! Allow His light to shine through you as you go about your day. I have to accept the first part in order to attain the second part.

#975 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
May 7, 2024 My friend is about to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary–I asked him how they came to marry. “Katie and I were both graduating from Baylor and we had been dating for a few years, and God told me to ask her to marry me.” I wanted to know if he heard an actual voice when God told him that? He told me how his pastor explained it. “When I say that God spoke to me, people would sometimes ask me if it was audible. I always told them it was louder than that.” I love that–it’s exactly how I feel about my blog.

#976 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
April, 2024 The dilemma of the unbeliever (and one of my favorite poems):
A Man Said to the Universe — by Stephen Crane
A man said to the universe
“Sir, I exist!”
“However,” replied the universe,
“That fact has not created in me
A sense of obligation.”

Family Sunday, back porch style…
#977 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
May, 2024 I bought Karen a birdhouse for Valentine’s Day. A family of Bewick wrens have decided to inhabit it. How cool is that! Keep those kisses coming, Lord.
