Golf Tuesday–happy to say I’m playing again…
#719 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
August, 2023 A torn bicep means I can’t play golf for 4 to 6 weeks. This is not a deviation in my lifestyle–this is a disconnect. I am utterly confident God has a plan for this. My wife told me about our cleaning lady, a wise soul, who was sympathizing with a woman who had undergone a tragedy. “Why,” the woman said. “Why would God allow this to happen?” “Don’t ask God why,” our friend told her, “ask God what.” The woman didn’t understand. “Ask God what He wants you to do with this. He will show you.”
I’m looking forward to learning what God wants me to do with my torn bicep.

#720 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
April, 2023 We are going to Spain in the fall to visit my sister. I am not much of a world traveler–I don’t like long plane rides. If I don’t go now I might never go–it gets worse as I get older–and I love my sister. She lives there now and I’ve never been to their home. God convinced me and Karen that we should go–I took more convincing than she did.

September, 2023 “So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well-pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” (II Corinthians 5:6–8). It is a choice I make, day by day, really, moment by moment: Am I going to live unto myself or live unto God? It is far better to live unto God.

#723 HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY
September 22, 2023 Peaks and valleys. I’ve mentioned this before–God will bring me from a low-low to a high-high, sometimes within the space of 24 hours, vis a vis, arriving in Spain after 18 hours of airports/flights/delays to the Butterfly Garden in Benal Medena. The only constant in that time period is God’s presence in our lives. Hold onto the constant and enjoy the ride.

August 24, 2023 “And God said, go forth and multiply…” (Genesis 1:28). My sister and her husband (Diana and Mike) took care of the going forth (Torremolinos, Spain), and Karen and I covered the multiplying (Nathan and Annalisa and Ayla).
